The Beachwalk Inn is an 80 key, seven story beachfront hotel located in Clearwater, Florida. The guest rooms are located above a three story 90 space parking garage that also houses the main MEP utility service entries, a natural gas fired emergency generator, electric fire and jockey pumps, domestic water booster pumps. Major program spaces include a street level jump lobby, a seventh story main lobby, roof top pool and pool bar; food service areas, laundry services, administrative support and roof level mechanical equipment yards. Technical aspects include VRF Systems serving guest room HVAC requirements, air to air energy recovery systems for guest room ventilation, bathroom exhaust and guest corridors HVAC systems. Other engineering challenges include design of lighting system conforming to Turtle Lighting Ordinances and HVAC design for dual use (enclosed and open air) use of the main lobby.
