Prior to their tenure with RGD Consulting Engineers, RGD’s senior staff provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering services for the 11 story, 140 room, Hilton Hotel expansion and renovation located in Melbourne, Florida. As part of the renovation, the building was demolished to the structural level and was rebuilt, including a total replacement of MEP/FP systems. Other building components include engineering for the reconstruction of a restaurant, check in, kitchen and banquette facilities, laundry services, a night club, support services, and the existing central energy plant. A new swimming pool and amenity deck was designed and constructed with lighting conforming to Turtle Laws. Additional engineering challenges include active smoke control systems, expansion of the existing central energy plant, 850 tons of refrigeration, new fire alarm systems, CATV, CCTV and data telco systems.

This project is part of the Project Managers Individual Work done before his time with RGD Consulting Engineers.
