The Marriott Residence Inn is a 206 key, seven story hotel located in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida. The guest rooms are located above a three level 210 space parking garage that also houses the main MEP utility service entries, a diesel fueled emergency generator, electric fire and jockey pumps, and domestic water booster pumps. Major program spaces include a street level jump lobby, a seventh story main lobby, roof top pool and pool bar; banquet food services, a full-service roof level restaurant, guest laundry services, hotel laundry services, conference style divisible meeting rooms, a fitness center, administrative support and roof level mechanical equipment yards. Technical aspects include VTAC Systems serving guest room HVAC requirements, air to air energy recovery systems for guest corridor HVAC systems. Other engineering challenges include design of MEP systems conforming with the City of Miami Sustainability Ordinances, VAV HVAC systems, programmable lighting systems, and MEP systems for aquatic support.
