Opened in November 2012, the Breakers’ HMF was awarded the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce’s “Best Renovation” award for HMF Breakers the transformation of the Tapestry Bar and Florentine Room into the cocktail lounge and dining venue.

The project took over a year and a half of planning and six months of construction with the help of renowned hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany acting as a design consultant to Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners. RGD was a sub-consultant to Peacock + Lewis and the Breakers; providing engineering design services for the renovation. During construction, RGD was frequently on-site to ensure the proper installation of the engineering systems.

The HMF restaurant pays homage to its roots, with a blend of new and old elements. The original ceiling details and other architectural elements remain and are highlighted with the contemporary new finishes and furniture.

One of the notable features is the wine wall that holds up to 3,000 bottles of wine.
