RGD Consulting Engineers is responsible for the MEP design for the new 575,840SF mixed use development. The project includes a 10-story office building, 19-story 200-250 key luxury hotel tower sitting atop a 4-story parking deck. The building hosts 2 restaurants, conference rooms, a ballroom, about three dozen condos and Loews hotel. The project will undoubtedly reshape Tallahassee’s skyline. The space will also include a retail shopping area for guests to enjoy. The hotel will be a convention option that’s been on the private sector’s wish list for years.
The $90-million, mixed-use project excites government and economic development leaders eagerly anticipating the nearly 1,800 jobs it’s estimated to pour into the local economy and $67 million in wages when the project is completed by summer of 2020. It represents an estimated total economic impact of $206.3 million.
The project has been anticipated to create 1,094 construction-related jobs and 703 permanent jobs, with a $66.9 million total wage pay out. The annual estimated fiscal impact is approximately $10.8 million.
