RGD Consulting Engineers was selected as the engineer for this multi-year P3 on campus student housing project. The project includes two of FAU’s campuses, construction expected in two phases.

Phase I

Phase I includes the demolition of an existing housing facility on the Boca Raton Campus, Algonquin Hall, to be replaced with approximately 500-600 beds in suite-style configuration primarily targeted toward sophomore and senior students. Phase I is targeted to open for the 2021-2022 academic year. Phase I also includes the development of approximately 150 beds in apartment-style units on FAU Jupiter’s Campus targeting their Honors College junior and senior students. It is anticipated to open during the 2020-2021 academic year.

Phase II

Phase II will include the demolition of the existing University Village Apartments on the Boca Raton Campus and will include the development of approximately 700 apartment-style beds targeted towards junior and senior students. The development site will be in the same footprint where the partial demolition of the University Village Apartments occurs in Fall 2022. Phase II is targeted to open for the 2024-2025 academic year. Phase II will also include an additional 150 beds in apartment-style units on the Jupiter Campus and is expected to open for the 2023-2024 academic year.
