Over the years, RGD Consulting Engineers has provided professional engineering services pertaining to the MEP systems of multiple portable structures within the Broward County School System, which include HVAC, sanitary, domestic water and fire sprinkler systems upgrades. The projects consist of free standing classroom buildings from approximately 2,000 – 18,000 square feet of air conditioned space. The buildings are constructed of prefabricated RCC modular classroom units. In most cases the HVAC systems are old and outdated and need to be completely updated with state of the art controls as well as new duct work and energy efficient units.
